*Parenting with Love and Logic is a philosophy of raising children through love, empathy, and logical consequences, rather than frustration, unenforceable limits, power struggles, and repeated warnings. It is built on the idea that children learn best when they experience the natural outcomes of their choices in a safe and supportive environment. Parents provide guidance, set firm limits, and allow children to make decisions, helping them develop responsibility and problem-solving skills. This approach allows adults to be happier, empowered, and more skilled in their interactions with children, and prepares young people to live in the real world, with its many choices and consequences. Join us in our weekly class to learn simple, practical, and immediate strategies, and to support one another in improving relationships with our children.
*WRAP: The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) was originally developed by a group of mental health service users who wanted to work on their own recovery. However, WRAP is for everyone and focuses on life experiences, strengths, and goals, not diagnoses, illnesses, or deficits. The Wellness Recovery Action Plan is a framework with which you can develop an effective approach to manage distressing symptoms and gain insight into patterns of behavior. The WRAP is a practical tool to support you through your recovery and help you gain control over your problems. It is designed as a tool to learn about yourself, what helps and what doesn’t, how to gradually gain more control of your life and your experiences, and can include a crisis plan, for those times when your problems and symptoms have made it very difficult. You can continue developing and changing your WRAP as you gain more information about yourself. Join us for support in developing, updating, and maintaining your personal plan. We are here to help!
